Thomas Perneger heads the HUG Clinical Epidemiology Division as well as its affiliated Methodological Support Unit at the CRC.
He has both clinical (Doctorate in Medicine in Geneva, Swiss Medical Association specialisation in internal medicine) and methodological training (Masters in Public Health, Masters in Biostatistics, PhD in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins; Swiss Medical Association specialisation in public health and prevention).
As a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, he teaches statistics and epidemiology to students and runs the Continuing Education Certificate in Patient-Oriented Clinical Research.
His research work focuses on assessing health services, developing instruments and methods for clinical research, and quality of care. He is the author of over 200 scientific articles, journals or book chapters.
